SEHAP Pulau Pinang

The creation of the NEHAP mechanism at the State Level (SEHAP) to ensure the continuity of related action plan implementation at the State & Local Authority Levels is stated in Item 2.3.1 (d) - Guidance Document NEHAP – Part 2, Strategic Plan For Environmental Health. The approval for the establishment of SEHAP Penang by the State Executive Council Meeting (MMKN) No. 17/22 on May 25, 2022, by the Penang State Executive Council.

  • Developed an online system "Online Complaint System Application for AEDES Breeding Sites (Stop AEDES)" to establish a more efficient mechanism for collecting and sharing information on illegal waste disposal locations for enforcement purposes. It is a module within the Penang Information and Complaint System (e-Pintas).
  • A collaboration effort with the State Secretary’s Office (SUK) and other agencies.

E-LEARNING: First Responders Modules in Disaster Management
Led by the critical need for competent disaster responders, NEHAP Malaysia created this voluntary competency module for front liners, volunteers, and Civil Defence personnel. The course covers the four phases of disaster management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
