The creation of the NEHAP mechanism at the State Level (SEHAP) to ensure the continuity of related action plan implementation at the State & Local Authority Levels is stated in Item 2.3.1 (d) - Guidance Document NEHAP – Part 2, Strategic Plan For Environmental HealthThe implementation of SEHAP in Kedah state received approval from the Kedah State Executive Council Meeting (MMKN) on May 30, 2018.

  • Conduct a re-evaluation on existing legislation to address technical issues that could not be resolved during on-site implementation through workshops or engagement sessions.
  • Improve licensing conditions (poultry over 500 birds) under 2005 Poultry Farming Enactment, by incorporating elements from the 2019 Chicken Waste Management Guidelines.
  • Collect data on abandoned houses and illegal waste dumping locations in existing systems such as GIS and Google.
