SEHAP Kedah

The creation of the NEHAP mechanism at the State Level (SEHAP) to ensure the continuity of related action plan implementation at the State & Local Authority Levels is stated in Item 2.3.1 (d) - Guidance Document NEHAP – Part 2, Strategic Plan For Environmental HealthThe implementation of SEHAP in Kedah state received approval from the Kedah State Executive Council Meeting (MMKN) on May 30, 2018.

Conduct a re-evaluation on existing legislation to address technical issues that could not be resolved during on-site implementation through workshops or engagement sessions.
Improve licensing conditions (poultry over 500 birds) under 2005 Poultry Farming Enactment, by incorporating elements from the 2019 Chicken Waste Management Guidelines.
Collect data on abandoned houses and illegal waste dumping locations in existing systems such as GIS and Google.
