Taking the theme of Emerging Environmental Health Risks: Challenges for Tomorrow, this conference was attended by 150 participants representing 40 agencies from across Malaysia including representatives from public institutes of higher education.
The content to this conference was certainly contributed by presentation papers presented by YM Engku Azman Tuan Mat, former Senior Deputy Director of the Regulatory Department, Engineering Services Division, MOH. The ceremony was then continued with the presentation by the Director General of Environment Department, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Kamarulnajuib Che Ibrahim and followed by the highlight of the keynote address by the Director General of Health, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham bin Abdullah.
Subsequently, the conference continued in the afternoon with a presentation of eight technical papers by representatives from the Ministry of Health, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a sole representative from International University, Cambodia.
Acknowledgments and congratulatory wishes to all committee members who have worked tirelessly in the success of the NEHAP Conference this year. It is hoped that these conference participants will be able to use conference opportunities to exchange ideas and build stronger platforms among members of the conference for the health and environmental advancement of the country.
