8th National Environmental Health Action Plan (NEHAP) Conference 2022 was officiated by Tn. YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Director General of the Ministry of Health Malaysia with the theme:

“Strengthening Environmental Health System for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals”

The conference was held with the aim of strengthening collaboration and giving exposure to participants on the importance of NEHAP Malaysia. Apart from that, this Conference is act as a platform for the presentation of papers covering the field of environmental health as well as for all participants to interact and exchange opinions on the country’s environmental health problems.

The conference was attended by more than 150 participants from various Ministries and agencies at the federal and state levels, lecturers and university students as well as the private sector that are directly involved in environmental health related activities.

A total of five (5) presentation papers were presented by the invited speakers. The speakers and titles of the presentation papers involved are:

1. Paper 1 Presentation: Improving Indoor Air Quality And Health Implication Among Children by Prof. Dr. Zailina Hashim, Pakar Kesihatan Alam Sekitar.
   
2. Paper 2 Presentation: Integrated River Basin Management (IRBM) Approach Towards Sustainable Development In Selangor

   by Pn. Haslina Binti AmerLembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS).

3. Paper 3 Presentation:  Ensuring Quality & Efficient Sewerage Services by En. Azuan Bin Ahmad Zahdi Indah Water Konsortium (IWK).
4. Paper 4 Presentation: Smart Environment Initiatives – Seberang Perai Achievement In Low Carbon City & Smart City

   by En. Ahmad Zabri Bin Mohamed Sarajudin National Hydraulic Research Institute Of Malaysia (NAHRIM).

5. Paper 5 Presentation: Empowering Sustainable E-Waste Management In Malaysia – Industry Perspectives
