NEHAP Steering Committee Meeting No. 1/2017 was successfully held on 17 April 2017. The meeting was held at Block E7, Ministry of Health. The meeting was chaired by the Director General of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham bin Abdullah in the first session and forwarded by the Director of Engineering Services Division of the Ministry of Health Tn. Hj. Md. Jalal bin Bongkik for the second session.

The important results achieved in this meeting are as follows:

1. The establishment of the new Thematic Working Group (TWG) which are TWG 10: Environmental Health Specialist and TWG 11: Vector Borne Disease
2. Agencies agreed to provide the data for the development of Malaysia’s Environmental Health Information System (MyEHIS).
3. Agree to implement State Environmental Health Action Plan (SEHAP) to other states in stages.
4. Agreed with the work plan for TWG 1-9 for 2017.
